Founding Engineer (Apps)

Build consumer apps from zero — the 0→1 seat, not the maintenance seat.

EngineeringLisbon or remote$30/hour trial → $30k–$60k/yrNo CV

Alongside DansUGC we build consumer apps and market them with our own UGC engine. You'd be the engineer for that portfolio: idea to App Store, repeatedly, without a committee in between.

What you'll do

  • Build consumer apps end to end — React Native / Expo or Swift, your call, defended.
  • Ship to the App Store and Play Store: builds, review, releases, crash triage.
  • Wire up the load-bearing boring parts — auth, payments (Stripe / RevenueCat), analytics, push.
  • Instrument before the ads run, so growth isn't flying blind on launch day.
  • Move fast. First version in weeks, not quarters.

What we're looking for

  • You've shipped an app to a real store that real strangers used. Link it.
  • Strong TypeScript, comfortable across the stack (we run Next.js 15 + Supabase + Cloudflare).
  • You use AI tooling seriously, and it makes you faster without making you sloppy.
  • You'd rather cut scope than miss a launch.

The deal

First two weeks

$30/hour, paid per task. Real work, not a take-home test — and you keep the money either way.

After that

A full-time salary of $30,000–$60,000 a year, if you're fast and the work is good.

Where

The team is in Lisbon. Remote works if you're genuinely async-excellent.
